“'Digital Chatter' — The Growing Challenge of Mis/Disinformation” Webinar

Would you like to gain a deeper understanding of the evolving cyber threat posed by mis/disinformation on social media? Join Becker DIgital’s VP, Hannah Becker, and AFCEA International, for the engaging and informative webinar, "'Digital Chatter' — The Growing Challenge of Mis/Disinformation."

Cyber threats related to mis/disinformation are rapidly evolving. Artificial intelligence (AI), deep fake technology, and machine learning have the potential to greatly expand the capabilities—and the reach—of mis/disinformation. New language model technologies have the potential to generate extensive amounts of mis/disinformation—much of which may be distributed without fact-checking resolution.

Enemy states and terrorist groups may use these developing technologies to deliver cognitive attacks that potentially damage community, organizational, and national security on a larger scale than previously observed. The same communication tools that improve our quality of life may be used to destroy it if left unchecked. Across the globe, there has been much discussion on increasing legislation and regulations on social media platforms, AI tools, and related technologies.

In today's hyperconnected world, both private and public sector organizations are increasingly vulnerable to the detrimental effects of mis/disinformation. However, few organizations possess the necessary defenses to effectively combat this novel form of "cyber-meets-cognitive" attack. To address this knowledge gap, the webinar will feature a panel of cyber experts hailing from diverse backgrounds and sectors, including academia, defense, industry, and government.

Webinar Panelists include:

During the webinar, our panelists will explore effective strategies to counter emerging cyber threats associated with mis/disinformation. They will also discuss innovative solutions currently available to mitigate the destructive impact of mis/disinformation on our society. Additionally, they will shed light on the rapidly evolving capabilities of technologies that facilitate the irresponsible and malicious dissemination of mis/disinformation across the Internet.
