Digital Marketing/Social Media Specialist (Part-Time/Remote)
Becker Digital is currently seeking a Digital Marketing and Social Media Specialist to support public-sector outreach campaigns. This position will focus on developing and executing digital marketing strategies that increase audience engagement, strengthen brand awareness, and drive measurable results across social and digital platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns to promote organizational initiatives, recruitment efforts, and educational or public outreach programs. 
- Create and manage content calendars for social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) tailored to agency or client goals. 
- Write and edit compelling social media copy, ad content, and audience-targeted messaging that aligns with campaign objectives and brand voice. 
- Plan, manage, and optimize paid media campaigns (Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, etc.) to expand reach and increase conversions. 
- Analyze campaign performance metrics and audience insights to inform content strategy and improve ROI. 
- Collaborate with the creative and web teams to ensure message consistency across visual, written, and digital touchpoints. 
- Conduct audience research to refine targeting strategies for specific demographic, regional, or behavioral segments. 
- Support development of digital engagement strategies (email newsletters, influencer partnerships, community engagement, etc.). 
- Monitor social media activity, engage with online communities, and provide timely responses or referrals as needed. 
- Maintain familiarity with ADA/Section 508 accessibility and ensure all digital content meets public-sector accessibility standards. 
- Stay informed on digital marketing trends, emerging platforms, and analytics tools to recommend innovative approaches. 
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. 
- 3+ years of professional experience managing social media or digital campaigns (government, education, or nonprofit sector experience preferred). 
- Proven success in digital advertising, content development, and data-driven audience engagement. 
- Proficiency with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Google Analytics, Meta Business Suite). 
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and digital campaign reporting. 
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to tone, clarity, and brand consistency. 
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines. 
- Demonstrated understanding of public-sector communications, recruitment marketing, and community engagement. 
Compensation:
- Negotiable rates based on experience and qualifications. 
Location:
- All work can be performed remotely but must be conducted from a U.S. location.
